Program description

Cloud security is a major modern cybersecurity discipline because organizations increasingly operate distributed systems, identities and data in cloud environments. The program focuses on the security decisions learners will repeatedly encounter: identity, least privilege, network exposure, logging, data protection, workload security and incident response.

Examples may use AWS, Azure or another cloud platform depending on the live trainer's lab environment. The concepts are deliberately transferable so students learn security principles rather than memorizing one provider's interface.

Capstone / final project

Final project: review a fictional cloud environment, identify exposed resources and excessive permissions, assess logging and data protection, and produce a prioritized remediation plan.
